The Museum’s public education program departs from the idea that “the City is a Museum,” offering the local community and especially young people an experience that goes beyond fixed-space exhibitions. Through the expansion of the theme of urban development, the program brings the Shekou experience directly to the city, its communities and their residents so that the public can spontaneously understand and inherit the Shekou spirit of daring to be first. To date, “the City as a Museum" program has successfully organized the “the City as a Creator" museum souvenir competition, “Chats with Thinkers,” and the “Open Air Movie Theater.” In 2018, the museum will also explore the 40th Anniversary of the Reform and Opening, cooperating with schools to bring Reform and Opening stories into the classroom through programs such as “Museum Open Class” and “Little Tour Guide”.
The museum public programme is currently only available in Chinese.
